Sigma Designs has recently released a Wireless Home Theater Audio Development Kit that gives consumer electronics makers the ability to design an innovative wireless Home-Theater-in-a-Box that would not interfere with other signals around the household such as WiFi, Bluetooth, mobile phones, and other home appliances. This kit uses the Windeo chipset that has the ability to support UWB-over-Coax cable thus facilitating multiple 1080p HD video streams to be distributed to multiple rooms over a coaxial cable network. The chipset may also transmit multiple HD video streams over-the-air to several HDTVs at the same time. The kit also uses CoAir UWB chip that supports on-chip Gigabit Ethernet for perfect high-speed data transport and Sigma’s Wireless HDAV streaming.
