Keyboard Scanner
One of the many results of technological advancement is the convergence or joining of products and some of their resulting features are akin to what can be found in digital camera-phones. A similar concept is employed in a state-of-the art hybrid computer keyboard and scanner.
KeyScan’s KS810 is a device that has a USB 2.0 hub, full-size personal computer keyboard, and a single-sheet scanner capable of scanning black and white and color documents. This device can be used in the office or at home, especially when users want to digitize old photos. Since its keyboard is fully functional, users will be able to integrate two functions like scanning and document typing.
The KS810 can scan documents with sizes ranging from 3.5 x 2 inches (like business cards) to 8.5 x 30-inch papers. Its True Optical resolution is capable of producing 600 dpi high quality and reliable color CIS technology. This device’s output resolution is no laughing matter, either, as it is able to produce photos with up to 4800 dpi. This works perfectly well for old photographs that users may want to digitize and keep.
KeyScan’s keyboard scanner is easy to install as it is quite similar to a typical USB keyboard. However, it needs a separate power brick. It is also easy to use: after properly configuring the device, simply feed in a sheet of paper into the feeding slot located near the back of the keyboard. Once the paper has been properly fed, the device will perform the rest of the process, including sending the document to Outlook. The paper goes into the slot at the top and then exits at the bottom. The scanned document is automatically converted into a PDF email attachment but may also be saved as a Word document, or a JPG or TIF image file.
The keyboard scanner has four fast-scan function keys that make it easier for the user to utilize the device. It also comes with a NoTouch-AutoScan program that allows users to easily scan documents without pressing any buttons.
Other notable features of the KS810 are: its fully functional high quality Windows keyboard has six dedicated fast-function keys; it has one USB upstream connected to the PC and two USB downstream ports that can accommodate low-speed, full-speed and high-speed devices; and lastly, the KS810’s sheet-feed scanner boasts of 24/48k bits high quality color and 8/16k bits for the grays, blacks and whites.
KeyScan’s ultra modern keyboard scanner is definitely the perfect home, office and school device.
